Travel Information
Davao City is one of the busiest and largest cities in the Philippines. Dubbed as the safest and cleanest city in the country, Davao is a melting pot of diverse cultures and is home to the durian fruit and the biggest eagle in the world, the Philippine Eagle.
What to try Island hopping in Davao is a must-try activity, especially with the Samal group of islands (a total of 9 islands) nearby.
Davao is known for the variety of exotic fruits that grow in its fertile lands. Every tourist who comes to Davao knows to try these treats at least once in their life. Examples of these delectable treats are the durian fruit, mangosteen, dragonfruit, rambutan and pomelo.
Attractions
The king of the skies, the Philippine Eagle, is housed at Davao City’s very own Philippine Eagle Center just a few kilometers from the city proper. The center is located within a rainforest, where visitors can also see various kinds of mammals, birds and reptiles on display.
Ever seen a crocodile dance before? If not, you’ll definitely get to see one at the Davao Crocodile Park, located on the Davao River Waterfront. Other shows include the crocodile frenzy, where baby you can watch baby crocodiles during feeding time.
Housed within the same compound as the Crocodile Park is the Davao Wild Water Adventure, which promotes ecotourism by allowing its participants to be closer to nature while rafting along the Davao River.

Kadayawan sa Dabaw
Month of August This exciting festival of colors, dance and music celebrates the beautiful culture and tradition of the indigenous people of Davao. Held annually during the month of August, Kadayawan Festival hosts various art, dance and fashion competitions, as well as exhibits, food fiestas and concerts for locals and visitors alike.
