Considered to be the biggest and most popular religious event in the Philippines, the Peñafrancia festival is celebrated to pay homage to the miraculous patroness of the Bicol region; our lady of Peñafrancia.
This festival is highlighted by a colorful fluvial procession carrying the Virgin through the Bicol River in downtown Naga.
Thousands of candles from devotees lit the whole area during the parade.
The festival also features civic and military parades, sports competitions, agro-industrial fairs, cultural shows, and the coronation of Miss Bicolandia beauties.

Banigan-Kawayan Festival
September 28 | Basey, Samar

This colorful festival showcases the unique hand woven mats and bamboo crafts produced by the indigenous people of Basey, Samar.
The highlight of the feast is an activity where the women of Basay weave a variety of intricately designed mats from sedge grass locally known as tikog.

Tuna Festival
