Visit the Two Lover’s Point, a seaside view where a tragic story of love is said to have happened. You can visit Fort Apugan too, the site of the last surviving Spanish fort in Hagatna. Check out and take photos of the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral, the first church to be built in the US territory of Guam.

Must See

  • 2 Lover’s Point, Hagatna- A cliff where legends say two star-crossed lovers decided to die together rather than be separated. The cliff has a spectacular view of the surrounding waters and offers a breathtaking sight.
  • Fort Apugan Overlook - The sole spanish fort atop Apugan Hill on the western coast of Guam. Aside from giving you a look into the past history of the place, it has a great view of the capital village of Hagåtña and the Philippine Sea.
  • Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral - A cathedral built over the first site of the first Catholic Church on the United States territory in Guam was constructed in 1669 under Padre San Vitores’ guidance.
  • Plaza De Espana - A location of the Governors palace at the time of the great Spanish occupation.Three structures still stand after the retaking of Guam in World War II: the three-arch gate to Almacen (Arsena), the azotea or back porch, and the Chocolate House.

Must Eat

  • Kelaguen- combination of lemon juice, onions, local hot peppers, salt and sometimes grated coconut mixed into seafood, beef, chicken or even spam.
  • Kadon Pika- a stew made mostly of chicken with soy sauce, vinegar, salt and black pepper, onions, garlic, local hot peppers and last, but most certainly not least, coconut milk mixed in.
  • Red rice- special rice mixed with achiote/annatto seeds
