This package will take you to an adventure to some of the Philippines' leading countryside destinations. For 8 days and 7 nights, learn about the colorful history and the birth of Christianity in the Philippines on a guided visit to heritage sites and ancient churches in Cebu City. Cebu

  • Sinulog Festival is one of the most colorful and grandest festivals in the country. The vibrant celebration is in honor of the Senor Santo Nino (the Holy Child) which is usually held every 3rd Sunday of January.
  • Monument of Lapu–Lapu or Mactan Shrine is a historical attraction in the city of Lapu-Lapu. The 20 meter bronze statue of Datu Lapu-Lapu marks the site where he defeated the Spanish soldiers led by Ferdinand Magellan.
  • Magellan’s Cross is among the most popular historical sites in Cebu. The wooden cross found inside a chapel marks the arrival and of the Christian religion in the Philippines introduced by the Spaniards dating back in 15th century.
  • Fort San Pedro, built in 1565, is among the well-known and oldest historical landmarks in the Philippines. This served as a fortress, an army camp, a was converted into classrooms and even a zoo. At present, it stands as a musuem where tourists can find the Fort San Pedro diggings and San Diego shipwreck.
  • Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño is among the oldest churches in the Philippines, where the image of the Santo Niño is kept. Magellan gave the image as a gift to Queen Juana and King Humabon upon their baptism in 1521.
  • Taoist Temple in Beverly Hills Subdivision is a place of worship for the Taoists built in 1972. With an elevation of 300 meters above sea level, the temple offers a scenic view of Cebu city, the sunset and the islands of Bohol.
  • Running tour at the Cebu Heritage Monument features a tableau of the rich history of Cebu from the conversion of King Humabon to Christianity and the revolution against the Spaniards to the declaration of the first Cebuano saint, Pedro Calungsod. The structure was created in 1997 and was completed in 2000.
  • Pasalubong stops at Otap and Taboan Public Market gives tourists a chance to choose from the varied options of souvenirs and native delicacies. This market also has all the best dried goods - danggit, dried shrimps, etc in town.

Bohol

  • Loboc River is a winding river, featuring jade green waters and mangroves, where guests can enjoy a delightful local dining experience during the cruise.
  • Chocolate Hills is the famed geological formation in Bohol where thousands of hills transform into brown-like chocolate cones during. the summer are scattered through various towns in Bohol.
  • The Baclayon Church, located at Tagbilaran, Bohol, is one of the great foundations of Bohol’s past. It is the second oldest stone church in the Philippines next to San Agustin Church in Intramuros.
  • Philippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuary offers tourists a chance to see the popular Philippine tarsier living in its natural habitat. This protected area also gives tourists a chance to observe other flora and fauna.
  • Balicasag and Pamilacan Islands are among the popular snorkeling destinations in Bohol. Also, tourists can enjoy sightings of dolphins nearby.
  • Loay Backyard Industry features the different livelihood in Bohol like goat raising, bolo-making, and manual fabrication of roofing materials made from Nipa leaves.
  • Clarin Ancestral House is a traditional Filipino-Spanish house that hosts family collections dating back to the mid-18th century.
  • Mahogany Man-made Forest located in the border of Loboc and Bilar towns is a two-kilometre stretch Mahogany forest that boasts towering brown trunks, lush green foliage and thick leaves.

DAY 1

Arrive in Manila where you’ll meet your driver who will transfer you to your hotel at The Peninsula Manila for the first night.

DAY 2

Have your breakfast at the hotel before packing up and departing to the domestic airport and fly to Cebu City riding on Philippine Airlines. You’ll meet somebody who will transfer you to the hotel, Bluewater Maribago. After checking-in, you’ll get to enjoy Cebu Twin City Tour with an included lunch. Part of this tour are CEBU CITY and MACTAN CITY. Get to be up close and personal with the monument of the man who slayed Ferdinand Magellan, LAPU-LAPU. Next, buy souvenirs at the SHELL CRAFT STORE, GUITA & UKULELE FACTORY and OTAP AND TABOAN PUBLIC MARKET for your loved ones. See the MAGELLAN’S CROSS next to BASILICA MINORE DEL STO. NINO. Enter the military defense structure built by Spanish in 1738, which is now known for the Fuerte de San Pedro or the FORT SAN PEDRO. It is located in the area now called Plaza Indepedencia, in the pier area of the city. You're going to feel like you're in China on your next stop: TAOIST TEMPLE. Built in 1972 by the city's Chinese community. The HERITAGE OF CEBU MONUMENT offers a historic vibe. It's a tableau of sculptures made of concrete, bronze, brass and steel showing scenes about events and structures related to Cebu. After the tour, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 3

Enjoy a hotel breakfast and then embark on the Whole Day Bohol Countryside Tour with lunch. Visit the BLOOD COMPACT SITE where you will find the monument of the blood compact in Tagbilaran City. This blood compact is said to be performed in Bohol by Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna for sealing a treaty. The BACLAYON CHURCH or the La Purisima Concepcion de la Virgen Maria Parish Church, LOAY BACKYARD INDUSTRY and CLARIN ANCESTRAL HOUSE are your next stops. Then head to where the tiny peculiar animals known as TARSIERS lived in. See how spectacular their eyes are and how small their hands and feet as they cling around a tree. The MAN-MADE FOREST will bring out the nature-lover in you. This is one of the favorite spots of tourists since the place is filled with mahogany trees which make the atmosphere quite chilly. Who would forget to visit the famous CHOCOLATE HILLS. A group of unusually-shaped hills in brown and green color. This destination is one of the most bizarre landscape you can ever encounter. The last stop for this tour will be the LOAY RIVER CRUISE. Have a sumptuous meal while cruising the waters of the Loay River, a part of Loboc's. At the end of the day return to Maribago Bluewater for an overnight stay.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel once again. After you’ve had your fill, go to Oslob for your scheduled boat transfer to Sumilon Island, a beautiful island destination with sun sand and blue skies. After your exciting day at the shore have an overnight stay at Sumilon Bluewater.

Day 5

Have breakfast at the hotel first then go on an amazing Whale Watching Tour and enjoy an eye-opening snorkeling adventure with the whale sharks (for one hour only). When that’s over, return to Sumilon Bluewater and enjoy your second night stay.

Day 6

Have another hotel breakfast then enjoy the resort facilities at your leisure and then stay for the third night at Sumilon Bluewater.

DAY 7

Have breakfast at the hotel for the last day of your trip and then check-out of resort. You will then be transported to the Cebu Airport where you will depart for Manila on Philippine Airlines once again. You will then be driven to The Peninsula Manila upon arrival for your second night stay.

Day 8

Have breakfast at the hotel before being tranported to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport for your flight to the US.
